I am a 22 year old from St.Louis, Missouri. I have been dancing for 18 years. I started off at Linda Kay’s Dance Studio, and at the age of 6 ended up at Charmette Academy of Dance. I was a member of the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company where I received many high score awards for my duo/trios and groups. I was ADA Dancer of the year, and hold many first place titles for my solos. While with the dance company I had the opportunity to travel the U.S from Los Angeles to New York. I was also chosen to dance for Disney in Orlando, Fl. I was a student teacher at Charmette for 5 years. I was a part of the St.Louis Muny Opera, and preformed in many shows. I graduated from Bayless High School where I was on the dance team all four years, and was captain for 3 of those years. After high School I started teaching ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and acro at Dance Xtreme. I also choreographed for their competition team and received many high score awards for my dances. I am thrilled to be teaching at Willow Tree Studios and look forward to a great year!
Crystal Maxwell
Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Creative Movement, Jazz, Lyrical, Tumbling, & Piano
I did gymnastics until I was 12 years old and then started dancing. I took Ballet, Jazz and Tap at a local studio, then fully enrolled in the fine arts portion of my high school. I danced 5 days a week and took every technique, specializing in Jazz and Modern. I was also in the dance company. Because it was a fine arts high school I learned not only technique and routines, but how to be a choreographer, the terminology, dance history and improv. I have also had performing arts and theatre. After High school I began coaching cheer, and also taught jazz and modern at the local Junior High School. I continued taking master classes locally and then took some time off from teaching to start my family and train again. I fell in love with Hip Hop and began going to Boston and NYC to take classes and train. I have studied hip hop, true hip hop, and can teach most elements. I have taken classes from Kelly Peters, Anthony Carr of the 'amount boyz'(he was in the first step up movie) Jarod Grimes, BBOY 'NONSTOP" from Brooklyn, Misty Rasconsmith from LA and many more including master classes at Alvin Ailey in NYC. My students have won numerous titles and have performed in NYC in times square on a yearly basis. I owned my own dance studio and worked with beginners thru competition level.
I believe that every person should have the ability to access quality dance lessons no matter what their situation, it is simply my passion...I love to teach Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Lyrical and Clogging.

Originally from a small town just outside of Houston, TX, I started taking recreational gymnastics at Mosley's Gymnastics at the age of 12 as a summer hobby. After quiting I took up coaching gymnastics and tumbling at Rowland's for almost 2 1/2 years before moving to Twentynine Palms. I coach a range of levels, starting from Kindergym to developmental level 4 in gymnastics, and from beginner to advanced in tumbling. Specializing in levels 2-3 gymnastics, and intermediate tumbling. Teresa Mizusawa
Bootcamp, Stretch & Tone, Strength Training, & Prenatal Strength
I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ; I pursued dance for about six years beginning in high school. I studied both in Phoenix and in Albuquerque, NM; I specialized in ballet, jazz and choreography. After I married my Marine and moved to Camp Lejeune, NC I started really focusing on general fitness training and nutrition. During my husband’s first deployment I got fit and healthy and lost 30 lbs through just nutrition and exercise, I have kept the weight off by maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. In 2011 I completed my Associate’s Degree in Dietetics, and achieved the DTR credential. I became certified as a Group Exercise Instructor through AFAA in 2012 and began teaching for Semper Fit aboard Camp Lejeune. I have grown as an instructor through those experiences and have taken additional courses on basic yoga, Pilates and am AMP It and TRX Level 1 certified. My favorite classes to teach are ones that make you push your strength and endurance, I have experience teaching Spin, Aqua HITT, Athletic Training, TRX, Tabata, Core and Flexibility, Bosu, and Boot Camp Style Classes. I love to work out and to share that love with others; I focus on making my workouts enjoyable and fostering camaraderie as we push the limits and learn safe movement and alignment patterns.
I moved to Twentynine Palms in November 2013 and am psyched to bring my passion for health and fitness to Willow Tree Studios as an instructor as I continue to learn and grow in the fitness field.
